About the Cover

Cover Figure

Cover picture: Differential splicing of titin's elastic region in the sarcomere (top) causes variability in titin-size expression (~3.3-3.7 MD), which correlate with fiber-type composition in rabbit skeletal muscles. Titin size is inversely related to single-fiber passive stiffness (bottom), but the relative contribution of titin to total passive stiffness differs among muscles. (see article by Prado et al., 461-480).
